Children’s Picture Book Self Publishing Course

Attention Moms, Dads, Grandma’s, Grandpa’s and all story tellers…..

If you have been looking for a way to finally put your stories onto paper and out on the market without having to find an illustrator or pay for expensive programs you don’t have the money or time to learn, then this may be your solution….

Introducing:

The Beginner’s Course to “Easy One Two Three Children’s Picture Book Self Publishing”

Dear fellow creatives,

If you are like me, your mind is swirling with tales of far away lands, children romping through the forests, bold bright beautiful two headed creatures, or long nosed cranky old hags. You may find inspiration anywhere you go. But once you have all your notes scribbled on paper, what do you do with it?

Well this is my story. Back in 1990 I wrote some stories for my son and daughter. They sat around in a drawer for many years. I often wished I could draw so that I could get them published but I did not think I had any talent, so I just didn’t try.

I sent my stories to a few publishers but no one was interested. I knew that was the same fate for many fellow writers so I let life take over and put my writing and creative aspirations on the back burner.

As the years past by, I came up with more stories and started to doodle. I threw all of these pages in a big box and shut the lid.

And then the Internet came around. I turned to writing for other people to earn a living and just figured that that was going to be the only way that I could make any money with my writing. But my heart just wasn’t in it. My soul cried out to create! After several years of ghostwriting, I finally quit and decided to go back to my creative writing.

Then one day I awoke and learned that there was a site online where you could self publish your own stories and get selling them on Amazon and other online book stores. Oh this was so exciting!! The possibilities were endless!

So I got started on Lulu and uploaded a few tutorials and some poetry books. But my books were not found. Lulu was not very good for being searchable on Google and I made very few sales.

I still could not afford an illustrator and I still did not have the confidence to try drawing myself. So a few more years passed by…..

Then one day I heard about Createspace. It was like Lulu but it was even cheaper to get started and you could start with only 24 pages instead of 32. And the kicker was that you could upload your completed book right to Amazon Kindle when you were done creating it! How smooth was that?

I was hooked right from the start with the ease and flow of the site. I decided to do some more research into how I could come up with illustrations when I had no money.

I learned about public domain images. I found a few sites that had tons of images to choose from and I was lost in that world for days!!!! My mind almost exploded from the possibilities I had with those images. Now I only needed to figure out how to put them together to complete each scene….

Now I don’t know about you but my mind for some reason could not handle having to learn layers and all the complicated steps that seemed to be needed to use a photo editing software like PhotoShop. Plus it was expensive. I found some alternatives but they seemed to have steep learning curves too and I just didn’t have the patience.

And then I found Paint.net. Not only was it free but it was super easy to learn. I found a few other programs and tools I learned how to use and before I knew it I had all of my books up and ready for sale!

After talking to more people both offline and on, I realized that there were many others looking for a way to share their stories with the world too but they just didn’t know where to start.

So, I put mind to paper and decided to lay out the steps and create an easy to follow course for other creatives to follow.

This course is for you if you

  • All the tools and programs I used to create my 22 picture books and coloring books(all free so no extra expenses needed)

  • places to get unlimited images for your books and I will teach you the difference between jpgs, pngs and vector art images and when you should use what when

  • how to create your own journal, diary or planner with images in Open Office and then turn it into a pdf

  • how to also take a pdf doc and turn it into a Word doc so it can be edited

  • how to merge more than one pdf document together to create a new document

  • and much more!

Now I can hear some people grimacing and thinking I am being unfair to the illustrators out there in the world. That is not so.

Many illustrators are finding that earning an income creating vector images for use online is not as hard or time consuming as creating whole spreads for a book.

Not to mention it is a passive income stream. If you are interested in both writing and illustrating then you have many avenues available to you for bringing in an income with your creations.

We will be opening up to the public August 1st, 2018. You can pre-order your spot today for just $47 USD. Price will be going up to $67 on August 1st so get in early while you can!

I can’t wait to work with you!  See you on the inside.
