How many visitors do you need to make 75K a year?

I was reading a post today by Clay Shirky. He was discussing this new book titled “Microtrends” by Mark Penn and Kinney Zalesna. They have a section called “A Wall Street Journal Story”. I was impressed with a few things being debated. One thing that stuck in my mind is when they said
“It takes about 100,000 unique visitors a month to generate an income of $75,000 a year.”

I don’t know about you, but I have a long way to go if that is a correct calculation. I can not do justice to the discussion Clay has regarding this piece of writing and the facts involved. I suggest if this is your type of interest, you head on over to Clay’s site and read more. You can go here now http://www.boingboing.net/2009/04/30/clay-shirky-debunks.html
